The Rite of Confirmation plays an important role in the life of St. Matthew’s and in the life of our young people.  Each year, St. Matthew’s prepares a group of energetic eighth graders for Episcopal Confirmation.  The program starts in September and finishes in June.  During the year, the class meets one evening each month to discuss the finer elements of the faith.  Our classes range in size from twelve to twenty. Confirmands are expected to attended Sunday service regularly, assist during services and, as a class. at a special service perform many of the elements of a service including delivering sermons.  The confirmation program also requires parental support and participation.  For more information, contact the Rev. Rik Pike .
