Pledge to the Annual Stewardship Drive

New Paragraph

“All things come of thee, O Lord, and of thine own have we given thee.”

1 Chronicles 29:14

  • What is Stewardship?

Stewardship is an ethic that embodies responsible planning and management of resources, including financial resources. St. Matthew’s Church, like any community organization, needs the financial support of its membership! Our Annual Stewardship Drive covers roughly 70% of the church’s operating budget. We need every member of the parish to pledge.  A pledge is a non-binding, annual financial commitment to St. Matthew’s Church.

  • What does St. Matthew's Mean to Us?

Each Sunday in November, a St. Matthew's family talks about how St. Matthew's has impacted their lives and the spiritual development of their own family and children and what it means to them. View their personal stories here.

  • How do I make my pledge?

Simply mail in the pledge card you received in the mail; pledge online using the form below; or call the Parish House at (914) 234-9636.

  • What do parishioners pledge?

Pledges range from $50 to $100,000. The average pledge is around $3,000. All pledges, no matter their size, are vital to St. Matthew’s.

  • When should I make my pledge?

As soon as you can! The Vestry sets the budget for next year in January, so we hope to get 2023 pledges by year-end, yet we are happy to receive them at any time. Pledges received early play a large part in determining that budget.  We recognize all of our donors in an insert in the Easter service bulletin.

  • How do I fulfill my pledge?

How and when you fulfill your pledge is up to you. Many pay by cash or check with envelopes we provide. Others pay by credit card. Still others donate appreciated stock.  Either indicate payment on the pledge card you received in the mail or pay by credit card online in any frequency you wish.  To donate stock, contact Kelly Napolitano in the Parish office.

We are grateful for your support.
